Spurrs Metro League Program FAQ Page

Q: How long does the metro league program run and what are the commitments?

A: Groups will begin Fall/Winter sessions inside at the various locations from November-April and are typically 1 practice/wk.  Spring/Summer sessions will begin in May where teams will move outside where practices will be twice a week.  Metro league games will also begin in May/June with each age group playing a series of games every second weekend typically.  Metro league will conclude in August.

Q: Where do we play games?

A: Games are typically played throughout the Avalon area (i.e. St. John's, CBS, Mt. Pearl, PCSP, etc.).  Depending on where the provincial tournament weekends are held, some travel on one weekend may be required.

Q: What is the approximate cost of the Spurrs metro league program?

A: The approximate cost for the entire season (November-August) is $750.  This covers all basic costs such as facility rental, player registration, tournament entry fees, uniform, coach supplies and equipment.  PCSP Soccer offers flexible payment plans.

Q: What is tiering?

A: Tiering allows for individuals with consistent comparable skills to compete together.  Tiering will only take place if numbers warrant the existence of two or more teams.  In addition to this, tiering will only begin at the U11 level.  If the numbers dictate that not enough players are available to form an additional team and the maximum roster for one team has exceeded, then it is possible that some players may not make the short list.  PCSP Soccer will exercise every effort to ensure that players are accommodated before using this protocol.
