Spurrs Metro League Program FAQ Page

Q: How long does the Metro League program run and what is the time commitment?
A: The Spring/Summer session begins in May, with teams training outdoors twice per week. Metro League games also start in May/June, with each age group typically playing a series of games every second weekend. The Metro League season runs through to August.

Q: Where are games played?
A: Games are generally held throughout the Avalon region, including St. John’s, CBS, Mount Pearl, PCSP, and surrounding areas. Depending on the location of provincial tournament weekends, some travel may be required on select weekends.

Q: What is the approximate cost of the Spurrs Metro League program?
A: The estimated cost for the Metro League program is $425.00. This fee includes player registration, tournament entry fees, uniform, coaching supplies, and team equipment.

Q: What is tiering?
A: Tiering groups players of similar and comparable skill levels together to ensure balanced and competitive play. Tiering will only be implemented if registration numbers support the formation of two or more teams and will begin at the U11 level.
If numbers do not support an additional team and the maximum roster size is exceeded, some players may not be selected. PCSP Soccer will make every effort to accommodate all players before applying this protocol.
